Vintage 14K Yellow Gold Birthday Cake or Birthday Gift Box Charm. This is a precious charm that holds lots of detail; the top of the charm is marked "Happy Birthday" and the bottom is marked "14K" (it's also engraved on the bottom - from 1954!)This charm opens - we're not sure to exactly what it opens to - but inside there is a little knob that has what appears to be a little bit of red enamel. This charm is round, measuring about 1/2" in diameter & 3/16" from top to bottom. This charm weighs 2.5 grams. Fantastic vintage charm with great detail! We're not totally sure if this is supposed to be a birthday cake, or a birthday gift box, so we'll leave that up to you, the experts. This charm is engraved on the bottom (it's from 1954!) and has a little ding/nick on a bottom edge & lid top edge. Light patina/spotting & wear. We're also not sure what's going on inside the charm - it appears to be a little knob-like thing that has some red enamel on it; we're not sure if it.
